What difference does a higher bit rate make? - A higher bit rate has both positive and negative effects. The positive effects that your listeners will get a much fuller, richer sound quality, so your voice, or the song you are playing will be much clearer to the ear, 128kbps is what most songs are download from via the internet, so that would be perfect for you if you want the optimum sound quality. On the negative side, people with dial-up connections will experience buffering (stopping and starting) of your stream if you stream at a high bit-rate. Although dial-up internet is virtually non-existent nowadays, some people in remote areas still have it, so check with your listeners before you upgrade to a higher bit rate. What a lot of people do nowadays, is have 2 different streams, one which is high quality (64kbps+) and one which is low quality (24kbps and below).

What is AutoDJ used for? AutoDJ is used for radio stations that do not have DJ's in different time zones for 24-hour streaming. All you need to do is record an audio track, or upload some songs, and when your last DJ has done on air, you just turn the AutoDJ on, and all through the time when your DJ's are asleep or away, your listeners are tuned into your stream.
